The Beano annual was on sale for 99p.I haven’t bought one in YEARS,I bought The Beano comic every Wednesday for 79p(I think it’s over £1 now :O).My favourite strip has always been Calamity James. The strips in this annual are brilliant! Was dying at some of the panels :D
Two things Dundee are famous for, Beano and the good ship Discovery.
“This probably isn’t one for the childless grown-ups, but if you’ve got football-loving children then you may well be hunting around for ideas to keep the little scrotes occupied during the Easter holidays. Fortunately for you, Wembley Stadium is one half of a quite unusual partnership with The Beano, a kids’ comic we surely all read when we were younger. Yes, apparently it is still going.
The partnership focuses on a Beano-themed tour of Wembley. In addition to the usual stadium tour gubbins, those attending the more cartoony flavoured show-round will be given a free copy of the comic and meet a guy in a Dennis the Menace suit, all to celebrate a Wembley-themed issue that includes such gems as Dennis and Gnasher having to sneak past two unelected celebrities in the Royal Box.”

Over a hundred Beano Robert Harrop figures and goodness knows how many books. This is a relatively old photo and my collection is now nearly twice the size..!
